Product details
The CSB MSJ-260 belongs to the MSJ series of 2V valve-regulated sealed lead-acid batteries, using AGM technology with a gas recombination efficiency of up to 99%, and is maintenance-free by design. This model has a nominal voltage of 2 Vdc and a nominal capacity of 260 Ah (1.80 VPC @25°C, 10-hour rate); at the 8-hour rate and 1.75 VPC the capacity is 253.60 Ah, at the 20-hour rate and 1.75 VPC it is 262.00 Ah, and at the 8-hour rate and 1.80 VPC it is 246.40 Ah.
In terms of electrical performance, the MSJ-260 has a maximum charge current of 78.00 A, a maximum discharge current of 1560 A, a short-circuit current of 4872 A, and an internal resistance of 0.36 mΩ. The float charge voltage is 2.21 to 2.25 Vdc/battery (25°C), and the equalizing charge voltage is 2.35 Vdc/battery (25°C). Regarding self-discharge, after 90 days of storage at 25°C the remaining capacity is greater than 90%, and it can be stored for up to 6 months; a full charge is required before use. If the storage temperature is above 25°C, it should be charged earlier.
This battery uses a pure lead structure and a proprietary formulation, and is designed specifically for high-capacity float standby power applications. It complies with IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and is recognized under UL1989 (MH14533). The case material is flame-retardant ABS (UL 94-V0), and the terminals are I4 threaded copper alloy terminals that accept M8 bolts, with a terminal torque of 126±25 Kgf·cm (109±22 Lbf·in or 12.3±2.5 N·m).
In terms of dimensions and weight, the MSJ-260 has a width of 131.0±1.5 mm, a height of 339.0±2.5 mm, a depth of 170.0±2.0 mm, and a weight of 18.70 kg (41.21 lb). The operating temperature range is: nominal 25°C; discharge -15°C to 50°C; charge and storage -15°C to 40°C.
The MSJ series is positioned as a VRLA 2V high-capacity long-life telecom battery series, with a design life of up to 20 years under float charge at 25°C, meeting the Eurobat long-life standard (greater than 12 years at 20°C). The MSJ-260 is suitable for standby power scenarios in the telecommunications field, providing float standby power support for equipment such as base stations.
