Calor XHT-FT High-Temperature Pure Lead Battery Technical Description
Calor XHT-FT is a member of the pure lead high-temperature battery series from CSB Energy Technology, officially described as designed for extreme power density, short-duration, mission-critical UPS applications. Compared with conventional standby batteries, this series places greater emphasis on maintaining stable discharge capability under high-temperature environments, so targeted arrangements have been made in structural material selection and manufacturing process, making it suitable for scenarios with high requirements for power supply continuity.
At the process level, Calor XHT-FT adopts the In-Case Formation (ICF) process, meaning formation is completed inside the battery case, combined with a proprietary catalyst and PC-ABS plastic. The ICF process helps simplify the manufacturing flow and improve consistency, while the proprietary catalyst serves gas recombination and internal reaction control under high-temperature conditions, and PC-ABS plastic provides a balance between heat resistance and mechanical strength, enabling the case to maintain structural stability at higher ambient temperatures.
In terms of technical features, this series continues the valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) design, using absorbed glass mat (AGM) to achieve efficient gas recombination with a recombination rate of up to 99%, and offers maintenance-free, rechargeable, and leak-proof characteristics. The pure lead grid structure and proprietary formulation are the basis of its high-temperature tolerance and long life performance. For terminal configuration, Calor XHT-FT offers two choices: front terminal or top terminal, facilitating flexible layout in cabinets or battery racks according to site space and maintenance habits.
Regarding standards and specifications, Calor XHT-FT is marked UL 1973 Recognized (MH66728), while the series documentation also involves referenced standards such as IEC 61056-1/2:2012, IEC 60896-21/22:2004, and IEC 61427. Design life is stated under float standby at 25°C, covering a range of 5 years to 20 years; charging voltage is stated at 25°C with float and equalizing ranges marked per battery or cell, for example, 12V battery float 13.5-13.8 Vdc, equalizing 14.4-15.0 Vdc; temperature range nominal 25°C, discharge -15°C~50°C, charge and storage -15°C~40°C.
In terms of application direction, Calor XHT-FT is mainly aimed at data center UPS and other occasions requiring high power density short-duration discharge, and can also serve as a candidate solution for mission-critical backup power under high-temperature environments. When selecting, users should combine site temperature, discharge rate, and backup time requirements, refer to official model documentation to confirm specific specifications, and use float voltage and temperature compensation settings to ensure battery service life and reliability under high-temperature operating conditions.
