Product details
The CSB MU900S belongs to the MU series and is a 2V valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery using absorbed glass mat (AGM) technology, with gas recombination efficiency of up to 99% and no water replenishment required in normal use. This series was developed from the MSV and MSJ and is aimed at larger-capacity float standby applications, with an official application area of telecommunications.
In terms of capacity, the MU900S has a 10-hour rate nominal capacity of 900Ah at 25°C, 1.80VPC; at 25°C, 1.75VPC, the 8-hour rate is 888.00Ah and the 20-hour rate is 1032.00Ah; at 25°C, 1.80VPC, the 8-hour rate is 872.00Ah. The battery's maximum charge current is 270.00A, maximum discharge current is 5400A, short-circuit current is 10580A, and internal resistance is 0.36 mΩ.
For charging settings, at 25°C the float charge voltage is 2.21 to 2.25 Vdc per cell, and the equalizing charge voltage is 2.35 Vdc per cell. For operating temperature, the nominal temperature is 25°C, the discharge range is -15°C to 50°C, and the charge and storage range is -15°C to 40°C. Self-discharge is less than 10% after 90 days of storage at 25°C, and the battery can be stored for up to 6 months and must be fully charged before use; if the storage temperature is above 25°C, recharge should be done sooner.
In construction, the MU900S uses a pure lead construction and proprietary formulation, with a flame-retardant polypropylene case meeting UL 94-V0. The terminal is an I3 threaded copper alloy terminal that accepts an M10 bolt, with a terminal torque of 249±50 Kgf·cm, 216±43 Lbf·in, or 24.4±4.9 N·m. Dimensions are 303.0±3.0 mm long, 172.0±3.0 mm wide, and 497.0±3.0 mm deep, and weight is 55.90 kg, or 123.20 lb.
For design life, it can reach 20 years in float standby service at 25°C, and under Eurobat at 20°C it is a long-life product of more than 12 years. The product is manufactured in accordance with IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and is recognized under UL1989 with recognition number MH14533. These features make it suitable for high-capacity DC power applications such as telecommunications that require long-duration float standby.
