Product details

The CSB TPL121800FR belongs to the TPL series of front terminal VRLA batteries, utilizing absorbed glass mat (AGM) technology with a gas recombination efficiency of up to 99%, and employing a pure lead construction and proprietary formulation. The battery has a nominal voltage of 12 Vdc, a 10-hour rate nominal capacity of 180 Ah at 1.80 VPC, 25°C, an 8-hour rate (1.75 VPC) capacity of 175 Ah, a 20-hour rate (1.75 VPC) capacity of 192 Ah, and an 8-hour rate (1.80 VPC) capacity of 172 Ah. Its design float life is up to 12 years at 25°C in standby service, meeting the Eurobat long life standard (greater than 12 years at 20°C). In terms of electrical performance, the battery has a maximum charge current of 54 A, a maximum discharge current of 800 A, a short-circuit current of 2575 A, and an internal resistance of 3.90 mΩ. The float charge voltage is 13.5 to 13.8 Vdc/cell (25°C), and the equalizing charge voltage is 14.4 to 15.0 Vdc/cell (25°C). The self-discharge rate is less than 10% after 90 days at 25°C, and it can be stored for up to 6 months, requiring a full charge before use; if the storage temperature is above 25°C, charge earlier. Operating temperature range: nominal 25°C, discharge -15°C to 50°C, charge and storage -15°C to 40°C. Structurally, the TPL121800FR uses a flame-retardant ABS case (UL 94-V0), with I2 threaded lead alloy terminals that accept M6 bolts, with a recommended torque of 51.7±10.3 Kgf·cm (44.9±9.0 Lbf·in or 5.1±1.0 N·m). The dimensions are length 547.0±2.5 mm, width 124.8±1.5 mm, height 320.3±2.5 mm, and weight approximately 55.1 kg (121.44 lb). The front terminal design facilitates rack mounting and maintenance. This battery is specifically designed for float standby power applications, suitable for the telecom field, and meets multi-hour backup requirements in broadband applications. The product is manufactured according to IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and is recognized by UL1989 (MH14533). As a VRLA battery, it is maintenance-free and can be flexibly installed in various standby power systems.
