Product details
The CSB XPL9000FT belongs to the XPL-FT series and is a 12V front terminal pure lead valve-regulated lead-acid battery using absorbed glass mat technology with a gas recombination efficiency of up to 99%, maintenance-free. This series targets high-rate UPS and data center standby power applications. The product is manufactured to IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and recognized under UL1989 (MH14533).
In terms of electrical parameters, the XPL9000FT has a nominal voltage of 12 Vdc and a nominal capacity of 9000W @5min-rate (9.60V per PCS @ 25°C). Its power per cell is 2069.83 W/cell at 30 seconds 1.67 VPC, 1403.33 W/cell at 5 minutes 1.67 VPC, and 907.67 W/cell at 15 minutes 1.67 VPC. The battery's maximum charge current is 75.00 A, maximum discharge current is 1900 A, short-circuit current is 5102 A, and internal resistance is 1.86 mΩ.
For charging and temperature characteristics, at 25°C the float charge voltage is 13.5 - 13.8 Vdc/battery and the equalizing charge voltage is 14.4 - 15.0 Vdc/battery. Operating temperature range: nominal 25°C, discharge -15°C to 50°C, charge and storage -15°C to 40°C. Self-discharge is less than 10% after 90 days at 25°C, storage is possible for up to 6 months, or up to 10 months with equalizing charge; a full charge is required before use, and if storage temperature exceeds 25°C, charge earlier.
In terms of construction, the XPL9000FT uses a PP case (UL 94-HB), with a flame-retardant (94-V0) version available on request. The terminal is an I2 threaded lead alloy terminal that accepts an M6 bolt, with a recommended torque of 51.7±10.3 Kgf∙cm / 44.9±9.0 Lbf∙in / 5.1±1.0 N∙m. The battery weighs 69.50 kg (153.22 lb) and measures 558.0±2.5 mm long, 126.0±1.5 mm wide, and 323.0±2.5 mm high.
In terms of design life, it reaches 10 years under standby float service at 25°C, meeting the Eurobat long life standard (greater than 12 years at 20°C). With its front terminal design and pure lead construction, the XPL9000FT is suitable for high-rate standby scenarios such as data center uninterruptible power supplies, providing reliable backup power support for critical equipment.
