Product details

The CSB XHT8000FT belongs to the XHT series of 12V front terminal valve-regulated lead-acid batteries, featuring AGM absorbed glass mat separators and a dedicated grid design, with a 99% gas recombination rate, and employing pure lead construction and Catalist 2X proprietary additive technology. The product is maintenance-free, with a case made of impact-resistant PC-ABS flame-retardant material meeting UL 94-V0 requirements, suitable for high-rate and high-temperature standby scenarios, and intended for mission-critical power supply in demanding environments. In terms of electrical parameters, the battery has a nominal voltage of 12 Vdc and a nominal capacity of 8000W @ 5min-rate (9.60V per PCS @ 25°C). Watts per cell data are 1831.17 W/cell at 30 seconds at 1.67 VPC, 1287.17 W/cell at 5 minutes at 1.67 VPC, and 821.50 W/cell at 15 minutes at 1.67 VPC. Maximum charge current is 66.70 A, maximum discharge current is 1660 (5sec), short-circuit current is 4570 A, and internal resistance is 2.17 mΩ. Float charge voltage is 13.5 - 13.8 Vdc/battery (25°C), and equalizing charge voltage is 14.4 - 15.0 Vdc/battery (25°C). In terms of structure and dimensions, the XHT8000FT is 558.0±2.5 mm long, 126.0±1.5 mm wide, and 325.0±2.5 mm high, weighing 66.6 kg. The terminal is an I2 thread lead alloy terminal to accept M6 bolt, with terminal torque of 51.7±10.3 Kgf∙cm, 44.9±9.0 Lbf∙in, or 5.1±1.0 N∙m. Design life reaches 12+ years at 25°C float service and 10 years at 35°C float service. Operating temperature range is -40°C to 65°C for discharge, and -40°C to 65°C for both charge and storage. Regarding self-discharge, self-discharge is less than 10% after 90 days at 25°C, storage is possible for up to 6 months, extendable to 10 months with equalizing charge; a full charge is required before use, and if storage temperature exceeds 25°C, recharge should be performed sooner. The product is manufactured in accordance with IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and UL1989 (MH14533), and is UL 1973 Recognized (MH66728). Its official application area is data center uninterruptible power supplies, suitable as standby power for mission-critical scenarios. During installation and maintenance, set the charging equipment according to the float and equalizing charge voltage ranges above, and tighten the M6 bolt connections in accordance with the terminal torque requirements, avoiding exceeding the maximum charge current and maximum discharge current. The storage environment should be maintained near 25°C with regular supplementary charging to maintain battery performance. This battery is of valve-regulated sealed maintenance-free design, requiring no water replenishment during normal use, and is suitable for data center UPS and other standby power systems requiring high-rate discharge and high-temperature tolerance.
