Product details
The CSB GPL121000 is a 12V valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery belonging to the GPL series. This series is the long life version of the GP series, aimed at general purpose standby power applications and designed to provide a longer service life. The battery uses absorbed glass mat (AGM) technology with gas recombination efficiency of up to 99%, is a maintenance-free design, and is suitable for float standby power applications.
In terms of capacity, the GPL121000 has a 20-hour rate nominal capacity of 100 Ah at 25°C and 1.75 VPC, a 20-hour rate measured capacity of 103.80 Ah, an 8-hour rate (1.75 VPC) capacity of 95.20 Ah, and an 8-hour rate (1.80 VPC) capacity of 94.40 Ah. The battery's maximum charge current is 30.00 A, maximum discharge current is 800 A, short-circuit current is 2606 A, and internal resistance is 3.2 mΩ.
The battery dimensions are 343.0 mm long, 170.0 mm wide, and 216.9 mm high, with a weight of approximately 33.50 kg. The terminal is an I2 threaded lead alloy terminal that accepts an M6 bolt, with a terminal torque of 51.7±10.3 Kgf·cm, i.e. 44.9±9.0 Lbf·in or 5.10±1.0 N·m. The case material is PP (UL 94-HB), and a flame-retardant (94-V0) version is also available on request.
For charging, at 25°C the float charge voltage is 13.5 to 13.8 Vdc/battery, and the equalizing charge voltage is 14.4 to 15.0 Vdc/battery. The nominal operating temperature is 25°C, the discharge temperature range is -15°C to 50°C, and the charge and storage temperature range is -15°C to 40°C. For self-discharge, after 90 days of storage at 25°C the remaining capacity is greater than 90%, storage is possible for up to 6 months, and a full charge is required before use; if the storage temperature is above 25°C, charge earlier.
In terms of life, the design life is up to 10 years in float standby service at 25°C, and greater than 12 years under the Eurobat (20°C) standard, placing it in the Very Long Life category. The product is manufactured in accordance with IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and is UL1989 recognized (MH14533). These characteristics make it suitable for general purpose standby power applications requiring long periods of float standby.
