The CSB GPL12400 belongs to the GPL series, the long-life version of the GP series, intended for general-purpose float standby power applications. It is a 12V valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery using absorbed glass mat (AGM) technology, with a gas recombination efficiency of up to 99%, and is a maintenance-free design. The battery uses a pure lead construction, is manufactured to IEC 61056-1/2:2012, and is recognized under UL1989 (MH14533).
In terms of capacity, the GPL12400 has a nominal capacity of 40Ah (1.75 VPC @25°C, 20hr-rate). At 25°C, the 8-hour rate 1.75 VPC capacity is 40.32Ah, the 20-hour rate 1.75 VPC capacity is 44.40Ah, and the 8-hour rate 1.80 VPC capacity is 39.60Ah. The battery's maximum charge current is 12.00A, maximum discharge current is 400A, short-circuit current is 1182A, and internal resistance is 8.5 mΩ.
