Product details
The CSB XPL2700 belongs to the XPL series and is a 12V top-terminal valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery using absorbed glass mat (AGM) technology, with gas recombination efficiency up to 99%, and pure lead construction. This series targets applications requiring large-capacity cells and long-duration standby power, with the official application area being data center uninterruptible power supplies.
In terms of electrical parameters, the XPL2700 has a nominal voltage of 12 Vdc and a nominal capacity of 2700W @5min-rate, tested at 9.60V per unit, 25°C. Its power per cell is 719.17 W/cell at 30 seconds 1.67 VPC, 25°C, 463.17 W/cell at 5 minutes 1.67 VPC, 25°C, and 252.67 W/cell at 15 minutes 1.67 VPC, 25°C. The maximum charge current is 22.50 A, the maximum discharge current is 650 A, the short-circuit current is 1680 A, and the internal resistance is 4.20 mΩ.
Regarding charging and temperature conditions, at 25°C the float charge voltage is 13.5 to 13.8 Vdc/battery, and the equalizing charge voltage is 14.4 to 15.0 Vdc/battery. The nominal operating temperature is 25°C, the discharge range is -15°C to 50°C, and the charge and storage range is -15°C to 40°C. Self-discharge is less than 10% after 90 days, and it can be stored at 25°C for up to 6 months, or up to 10 months with equalizing charge; it must be fully charged before use, and should be charged earlier if the storage temperature is above 25°C.
Structurally, the XPL2700 terminal is an I2 threaded lead alloy terminal that accepts an M6 bolt, with a terminal torque of 51.7±10.3 Kgf∙cm, 44.9±9.0 Lbf∙in, or 5.1±1.0 N∙m. The case material is PP (UL 94-HB), and a flame-retardant 94-V0 version can also be provided upon request. The dimensions are length 228.0±2.5 mm, width 138.4±1.5 mm, height 206.3±2.5 mm, and weight 18.52 kg or 40.82 lb.
This product is maintenance-free and designed for high-rate UPS and float standby power applications, manufactured in accordance with IEC 60896-21/22:2004, and recognized under UL1989 (MH14533). The design life can reach 10 years in float standby service at 25°C, and more than 12 years under Eurobat 20°C conditions, belonging to the long-life type.
