Product details
The CSB XPL3500 belongs to the XPL series and is a 12V top terminal valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery using absorbed glass mat (AGM) technology, with a gas recombination efficiency of up to 99%, and a maintenance-free construction. This series is positioned as a large-capacity pure lead VRLA series for long-duration standby applications requiring large-format single cells, with the official application area being data center uninterruptible power supplies.
In terms of power parameters, the XPL3500 has a nominal capacity of 3500W @5min-rate at 25°C and 9.60V per cell. Cell power performance is 862.33 W/cell at 30 seconds 1.67 VPC, 558.00 W/cell at 5 minutes 1.67 VPC, and 318.67 W/cell at 15 minutes 1.67 VPC. The maximum charge current is 29.20 A, the maximum discharge current is 750 A, the short-circuit current is 2206 A, and the internal resistance is 3.83 mΩ.
The battery dimensions are 261.0±2.5 mm long, 168.5±2.0 mm wide, and 213.5±2.5 mm high, with a weight of 25.80 kg. The terminal uses an I2 threaded lead alloy terminal, accepts an M6 bolt, and the terminal torque is 51.7±10.3 Kgf∙cm, i.e. 44.9±9.0 Lbf∙in or 5.1±1.0 N∙m. The case material is PP (UL 94-HB), and a flame-retardant (94-V0) version is available upon request.
In terms of charging and temperature conditions, the float charge voltage at 25°C is 13.5 to 13.8 Vdc/battery, and the equalizing charge voltage is 14.4 to 15.0 Vdc/battery. The nominal operating temperature is 25°C, the discharge temperature range is -15°C to 50°C, and the charge and storage temperature range is -15°C to 40°C. For self-discharge, it is less than 10% after 90 days at 25°C, can be stored for up to 6 months, and up to 10 months with equalizing charge; it must be fully charged before use, and if the storage temperature is above 25°C, it should be charged sooner.
In terms of design life, it can reach 10 years in float standby service at 25°C, and more than 12 years under Eurobat (20°C) conditions, belonging to Very Long Life. The product is manufactured in accordance with IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and is recognized under UL1989 (MH14533). These features make it suitable for occasions requiring long-duration float standby such as data center UPS.
