Product details
The CSB GP12200 belongs to the GP series of general purpose valve-regulated sealed lead-acid batteries, with a nominal voltage of 12 Vdc and a nominal capacity of 20 Ah (20hr-rate, 1.75 VPC @25°C). At 25°C, the 8-hour rate 1.75 VPC capacity is 20.56 Ah, the 20-hour rate 1.75 VPC capacity is 22.60 Ah, and the 8-hour rate 1.80 VPC capacity is 20.24 Ah. The battery uses a valve-regulated sealed construction and absorbed glass mat technology, with gas recombination efficiency of up to 99%, and is a maintenance-free design suitable for float standby power applications.
In terms of electrical performance, the GP12200 has a maximum charging current of 6.00 A, a maximum discharge current of 230 A, a short-circuit current of 559 A, and an internal resistance of 16.1 mΩ. The float charge voltage is 13.5 to 13.8 Vdc/battery (25°C), and the equalizing charge voltage is 14.4 to 15.0 Vdc/battery (25°C). Regarding self-discharge, after 90 days of storage at 25°C the remaining capacity is above 90%, and it can be stored for up to 6 months; a full charge is required before use; if the storage temperature is above 25°C, recharge should be performed sooner.
The battery dimensions are length 181.0±2.0 mm, width 76.0±1.0 mm, height 165.0±2.0 mm, and weight 5.80 kg (14.11 lb). The terminal is an I1 threaded lead alloy terminal that accepts an M5 bolt, with a terminal torque of 30.4±6.1 Kgf∙cm, i.e. 3.0±0.6 N∙m or 26.4±5.3 Lbf∙in. The case material is ABS (UL 94-HB), and a flame-retardant 94-V0 version can also be provided on request.
Regarding operating temperature, the nominal temperature is 25°C (77°F), the discharge temperature range is -15°C to 50°C (5°F to 122°F), and the charging and storage temperature range is -15°C to 40°C (5°F to 104°F). The design life is up to 5 years under 25°C float standby service, and 3 to 5 years per the Eurobat (20°C) standard for commercial use. The product is manufactured in accordance with IEC 61056-1/2:2012 and is UL1989 recognized (MH14533).
The GP series is officially positioned as a general purpose VRLA battery series, suitable for a variety of applications such as security, emergency lighting and medical equipment. The GP12200 uses a pure lead construction and proprietary formulation, designed specifically for float standby power applications, and can be used as a backup power source in the above scenarios.
