Product details

The CSB GP645 belongs to the GP series of general purpose valve-regulated sealed lead-acid batteries, with a nominal voltage of 6Vdc and a nominal capacity of 4.5Ah (20hr-rate). At 25°C, its 20-hour rate capacity is 4.58Ah, and its 8-hour rate capacity is 4.24Ah (1.75VPC) or 4.18Ah (1.80VPC). The battery adopts a valve-regulated sealed lead-acid construction and absorbed glass mat (AGM) technology, achieving up to 99% gas recombination efficiency, features a maintenance-free design, and uses a pure lead construction with a proprietary element formula, designed for float standby power applications. In terms of electrical parameters, the GP645 has a maximum charge current of 1.35A and a maximum discharge current of 60A (F1 terminal) or 90A (F2 terminal), both at 5 seconds, a short-circuit current of 151A (5 seconds), and an internal resistance of approximately 18.5mΩ. At 25°C, the float charge voltage is 6.75 to 6.90Vdc, and the equalizing charge voltage is 7.20 to 7.50Vdc. Regarding self-discharge, at 25°C the remaining capacity after 90 days is greater than 90%, storage is possible for up to 6 months, and with equalizing charge this can be extended to 10 months; a full charge is required before use, and if the storage temperature is above 25°C, charging should be done sooner. In terms of dimensions and terminals, the GP645 has a length of 70.0±1.0mm, a width of 48.0±1.0mm, an F1 terminal height of 106.6±1.5mm, an F2 terminal height of 107.5±1.5mm, and a weight of 0.87kg. Terminal types include F1 (Faston Tab 187) and F2 (Faston Tab 250). The case material is ABS (UL 94-HB), and a flame-retardant (94-V0) version is available upon request. In terms of temperature adaptability, the GP645 has a nominal operating temperature of 25°C, a discharge temperature range of -15°C to 50°C, and a charge and storage temperature range of -15°C to 40°C. In terms of design life, it can reach 5 years under 25°C float standby conditions, and 3 to 5 years commercial-grade life under the Eurobat (20°C) standard. The product is manufactured in accordance with IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and is recognized under UL1989 (MH14533). Based on the above characteristics, the GP645 is suitable for the general purpose scenarios targeted by the GP series, including standby power applications such as security systems, emergency lighting, and medical equipment. Its maintenance-free, low self-discharge, and float standby design make it suitable for occasions requiring continuous standby power supply. Users should reasonably arrange charging and storage according to the actual ambient temperature and depth of discharge to maintain the battery in normal operating condition.
