Product details
The CSB GP Series GP12650 is a valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery with 6V and 12V top terminal configurations, belonging to the general purpose product line. Its nominal voltage is 12 Vdc, with a 20-hour rate nominal capacity of 65 Ah at 25°C and 1.75 VPC, an 8-hour rate capacity of 62.9 Ah, and 62.1 Ah at the 8-hour rate and 1.80 VPC. The battery uses absorbed glass mat (AGM) technology with a gas recombination efficiency of up to 99%, is maintenance-free by design, and is suitable for float standby power applications.
In terms of electrical parameters, the GP12650 has a maximum charge current of 19.5 A, a maximum discharge current of 500 A, a short-circuit current of 1663 A, and an internal resistance of 5.8 mΩ. At 25°C, the float charge voltage is 13.5 to 13.8 Vdc, and the equalizing charge voltage is 14.4 to 15.0 Vdc. Regarding self-discharge, storage at 25°C for 90 days results in less than 10% self-discharge, and the battery can be stored for up to 6 months; it must be fully charged before use, and if stored above 25°C, recharge should be performed sooner.
Structurally, the battery has I2 terminals that accept M6 bolts, with a terminal torque of 51.7±10.3 Kgf∙cm, 44.9±9.0 Lbf∙in, or 5.10±1.0 N∙m. The case material is PP (UL 94-HB), and a flame-retardant 94-V0 version is available upon request. Dimensions are 349.4±2.5 mm long, 166.0±2.0 mm wide, and 174.9±2.0 mm high, with a weight of 20.00 kg (44.08 lb).
Regarding operating temperature, the nominal temperature is 25°C, the discharge temperature range is -15°C to 50°C, and the charge and storage temperature range is -15°C to 40°C. Design life is up to 5 years in float standby service at 25°C, and 3 to 5 years under the Eurobat 20°C standard commercial conditions. The product is manufactured in accordance with IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and is recognized under UL1989 (MH14533).
The GP Series is officially positioned as a general purpose VRLA battery series, suitable for a variety of applications such as security, emergency lighting and medical equipment. The GP12650 uses a pure lead construction and proprietary formulation, designed specifically for float standby power applications, and can be used as a backup power source in the above scenarios.
